IBW’s Massage Therapy Hours

Our Massage Therapy Hours Exceed Wisconsin’s Requirements

Each state has different requirements for licensing for massage therapists. Wisconsin currently requires 600 hours, which are very particularly defined with content for licensing. The additional 150 hours allow us to teach above and beyond the basic licensing requirements to include experience in different modalities of massage, retail experience and bench marking, guest educators as well as to provide experiences that promote and enhance wellness.

The National Certification Board in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) offers the highest national credential achievable by massage therapists (Board Certification). In order to qualify for this certification therapists must have 750 hours of training and 200 hours of work experience. Our students are able to qualify for the training after they obtain the requite experience.
