THE IBW BARBERING PROGRAM

We were thrilled when Wisconsin first announced the barbering course option and we couldn’t wait to create a program with you in mind. We sat down with an advisory board of local barbershop owners to develop a barbering curriculum that would include what future employers need you to know. Our barbering program offers small class size for more individualized attention and is more focused than cosmetology on men’s hair trends and cutting techniques.

Our barbering program gives you an insider’s understanding of a barber’s career by providing unique learning experiences such as advanced guest education with local and globally known barbers.

HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE AT IBW

Our 1000-hour hybrid program includes clinic hours where you can work with guests and master your practical skills. In addition, we offer an externship program where our students can earn hours through real hands-on experience by working at a salon or barbershop.  Our program will allow you to create hairstyle trends that are in demand use the “tools of the trade” including: scissors, straight razors, foaming machines, and reclining chairs.

ALPHA
