There is always something happening at the Aveda IBW campuses, and we want to keep you in the loop of what our students are up to!
Introducing: Digital Club
We launched a new student team to help increase our students’ online efficacy. Our Digital Club leaders meet once a month to discuss the different ways to be more effective when engaging online. Recently, the Digital Club has covered content creation, search engine optimization (or SEO), and blogs! We are excited to see the online creations from our Digital Club leaders.
Fashion Shows
As part of the Aveda Mission to “give back to society,” the Aveda IBW Madison and Milwaukee campuses participate in bi-yearly fashion shows to fundraise for our Wisconsin local partners.
During Earth Month, or the month of April, students create outfits out of recycled materials to showcase their creativity and green mindset. Students and staff assist in fundraising activities like the Spin to Win wheel, mini services for donations, and promoting ticket sales. All money raised is donated to The Urban Ecology Center, an organization whose mission is to provide year-round educational programs for kids, families, and adults of all ages. Kids acquire the science skills they need to succeed, and adults keep on learning about how our changing world around us works.
Students also utilize and retail a limited-edition Aveda product, and $10 of each product sale goes to charity: water, whose mission is to help bring clean and safe water to people in need.
Guest Educators
We love all our amazing Guest Educators, but we have a soft spot in our heart for the Aveda North American Artists. Aveda IBW students had the privilege of learning the hottest techniques & trends in the industry from the people who help design the techniques we use every day – from haircutting to cleansing.

Green Team
The Green Team is a group of students who meets once a month to make sure the school is supporting the Aveda Mission of environmental leadership and responsibility. Our Green Team has organized fundraising events for our Earth Month fashion shows! Events include bake sales, tie-dye T-shirt sales, and outdoor tent events in front of the schools. Students have educated their classmates on the proper ways to recycle and discard waste, as well as implemented clear recycling and waste containers.
