What Motivated You to Choose the Aveda Institute Madison for Your Education?
I chose Aveda because I knew I would gain a lot of professional skills and learn a lot of retail and business skills.
Why Did You Opt for the Cosmetology Program Specifically?
I chose cosmetology because when I was a little girl, I was always playing with someone’s hair or my own. Styling hair was always fun and interesting to me. Doing hair was something I always enjoyed doing, and it was my dream and passion to do creative things with hair.
What is the Most Exciting Thing You Have Learned So Far in Your Program?
I would have to say learning how to do updos. You can always be creative with any style, and also making women feel beautiful for a special occasion.
What is Your Favorite Service to Perform, and Why?
I love styling the guest’s hair after I am done cutting his/her hair…Seeing their facial expressions and their feedback is very rewarding.
What Has Been Your Favorite Guest Experience?
My favorite guest experience was doing a makeover on my guest who wanted something fun and easy to style. She had long, brown hair. I decided to give her a long bob, and she absolutely loved it!
What Aspect of Your Education at the Aveda Institute Madison Has Surprised You the Most?
The aspect of teamwork and collaboration has surprised me the most. I’ve found that working alongside my peers has not only enhanced my learning experience but also fostered a sense of community and support.
Where Do You See Yourself After Graduation?
I see myself in Kissimmee, Florida, after graduation. I have always loved Florida—the weather, beach, and nightlife. Every day will feel like a vacation.
