Q: WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO ENROLL AT THE AVEDA INSTITUTE MADISON?
HANNAH: I work at an AVEDA Salon and I absolutely love my job – I love the Aveda culture. I knew that AIM would provide me with an outstanding education that I wouldn’t find at any other school.
Q: WHAT IS THE MOST EXCITING THING YOU HAVE LEARNED SO FAR IN YOUR PROGRAM?
HANNAH: We just finished our color unit and I’m loving it! It’s so fun! I also got a chance to work with one of our guest educators, Jon Reyman, and the tools he shared with us have changed my world with hair cutting.

Q: WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF AFTER GRADUATION?
HANNAH: I see myself working behind the chair at the salon that I currently work at. I am excited to start my career that I am so passionate about with a team of extremely talented friends. I am also happy that I get to continue working with the Aveda products that I love and get to continue working towards the Aveda Mission that has become part of my life.
Q: WHAT ONE PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHERS THINKING ABOUT COMING TO SCHOOL AT AIM?
HANNAH: Make sure that you are able to make time for yourself. It’s hard work! The hours in a week spent at school can get intense. When you’re learning and growing it is exhausting – mentally & physically. So, be sure that you are willing to put that time in and to make the efforts to be the healthiest you possible.
Q: ANY OTHER THOUGHTS/COMMENTS ON YOUR PROGRAM AT AIM?
HANNAH: It’s awesome! The instructors are down to earth, helpful and really want you to succeed. My time spent here has made me realize my passion for this industry. I enjoy coming to school and I get excited to be on the floor and help make people feel great about themselves. If you put in the time and work your dreams are possible!
