Develop skills

Student Leadership council

This organization offers students at both campuses the chance to harness and develop their leadership skills. A representative from each class participates on the council and meets monthly with school leadership to discuss general trends in the salon & spa industries.

Examples of content covered during leadership meetings:

Other opportunities include invitations to network with Institute professional partner salons & spas as well as attend meetings with other community business leaders to gain a strong working knowledge of business development and management practices prior to graduation.

Green Team

The Green Team is an eco-conscious group of students who meet monthly to advance the Aveda Mission.

Activities include:

Digital Media Club

Students passionate about digital & social media and who are interested in deepening their understanding of best practices, are invited to join a club that meets monthly to discuss trends and advancements in the field that directly impact the careers of beauty & wellness professionals.

Meetings are hosted by school leadership and student members have direct input on discussion topics they feel are important to them and their peers, as well as selecting nationally-recognized guest speakers from the Aveda Professional Network and beyond to offer invaluable insider insights and nurture professional networking opportunities.

Participating students will create weekly content that speaks to each month’s meeting objective and share results and anecdotal inferences with the larger club.
