Ayurveda Esthetic

The Ayurveda Esthetic course at The Institute of Beauty and Wellness is a 1000-hour course that focuses beyond the traditional esthetics training and digs deeper, focusing on the balance of mind, body and spirit as well as the holistic wellness practices that fuel these ancient practices in methodology.
Upon graduation, you will leave our program with the esthetics training you need for licensure, as well as the methodology and foundations that you can only get from an instructor team that has been trained in the 5,000 year-old ancient healing tradition from India.

Our Ayurveda Esthetic program is based around the ancient science that is aimed at preventing and healing imbalances within the body. We help our students learn and understand the fundamental history of this ancient science by beginning with the foundations of esthetics such as the fundamentals of skin, including dermanalysis, facial manipulations and equipment. We then go deeper and introduce the Ayurvedic principles of Sanskrit, mindfulness, the doshas, digestion and nutrition.
As a student you will gain access to continuing education opportunities and additional certifications that will help see through the years ahead of you in the beauty and wellness industry. At The Institute of Beauty and Wellness we strive to support you through every step of your journey.

Your education here will cross between modern practice and ancient tradition. Our students are provided with an iPad along with learning the ancient Aveda rituals that stand the test of time, making this program stand out amongst other skincare professions.

In addition to the traditional Aveda Esthiology education foundations, you will learn many of the these Ayurvedic principles:

  • Ayurveda Wellness Counseling Training
  • Ayurvedic Psychology
  • Manage the 3 Doshes – Vata, Pitta and Kapha – in the digestive, nervous, respiratory and cardiovascular systems
  • Herbalism
  • Detoxification Methods
  • Esthiology training
  • Ayurvedic Body Therapy Training
  • Anatomy
  • Physiology
  • Pathology

Upon graduation, you will receive an Ayurveda Esthetic Certificate from the Institute of Beauty and Wellness as well as met the requirements to apply to become a licensed esthetician in the State of Wisconsin. As one of the first schools in the nation to offer this course, we are also proud to help our students apply for a membership with the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA) as a Registered Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant and with the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor.
