Q: WHAT IS THE MOST REWARDING PART ABOUT BEING AN EDUCATOR?
CATHERINE: Being an educator means delivering the information to set the student up for success. Knowing the why behind each process is so helpful. This leads to confidence in each step of the program.
Q: IN YOUR OPINION, WHAT IS THE BIGGEST POINT OF DIFFERENCE THE INSTITUTE OF BEAUTY AND WELLNESS OFFERS?
CATHERINE: Offering a “no” fail point of difference. We pride ourselves on attaining goals. Goals help us reach our finish line. That finish line leads to effective behavior in our professional work place.
CATHERINE: Raising money with my baking skills here at the Institute. Twice a year, Breast Cancer Month (October) and Earth Month (April) I bake for these special events. The students and guests enjoy the treats, all for a great cause. Many smiles and lots of dollars.
Q: DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR SOMEONE CONSIDERING THE BEAUTY OR WELLNESS INDUSTRY AS A CAREER OPTION?
CATHERINE: This is not a career but a lifestyle. That is my advice. There are no limits to education. What you put into it is what the end result will be. Hard work and fun can take you everywhere.
