At the Institute of Beauty and Wellness we take ancient skincare practices and build them into an education that empowers both body and mind. Our Esthiology Curriculum focuses on skin care training with an emphasis on dermanalysis, facial manipulations, makeup and plant aromaology. Our 600-hour holistic program prepares our students for vast opportunities in a growing field.
The IBW esthetics program does more than just educate our students in how to care for skin. As an Aveda school we have developed a curriculum that prepares our students for an uplifting career.
With a refined focus on technology, and an iPad provided to each student, we want our students to be prepared for the esthetics industry, and the demands of, today.
We know, however, that your education goes past graduation, which is why we always welcome our students back for continuing education opportunities and additional certifications.
At The Institute of Beauty and Wellness we work to support you from the beginning of your education and throughout your career.
At The Institute of Beauty and Wellness we have worked to create a program and curriculum that can assist our students in creating a career filled with Aveda philosophies and rituals.
There are many fundamentals that you will learn as an IBW student. Some of these include:
Today’s esthetics industry is in demand. With an added focus on skills like lash extensions, and an increased desire for mindful and holistic practices, an Aveda education may become a pillar of knowledge in the beauty industry.
Our educators are dedicated to upholding that standard. We attend additional trainings in Ayurvedic tradition each year in addition to living the Aveda values and philosophies in our own lives.
Thanks to the additional time offered in our student clinics, our students are able to master their skills in a salon environment similar to what they will be working in after graduation. With access to Aveda brand products and professional quality tools, our students gain access to an education that focuses on mind, body and spirit.

I can honestly say I couldn’t have picked a better school to prepare me for my Esthetic career. IBW gave me the knowledge and support that I needed to take initiative and excel in my career. I had the most passionate and driven instructor, not to mention she was the coolest, who inspired me to be the successful Esthetician I am today. Since school, I have been working at a spa for over a year and a half-I am currently the lead Esthetician and have continued my education to offer Ayurvedic Body Therapies. I am so appreciative of the time that I had at IBW and how far I’ve come since then. Esthtiology Graduate, Erica
Enrolling at IBW was the best decision I’ve ever made! My instructors were so caring and passionate about their craft. They did everything they could to make sure I would be a successful Esthetician; from helping prepare resumes to practicing retailing techniques. The facility is beautiful, and IBW has such a positive atmosphere, I never wanted to miss a day of class. You become so close with your instructors and classmates, you become a little family. Doing all of my hands on training with Aveda made me fall in love with the brand and their mission to make the world a better place. I love IBW so much I’m coming back to do the massage program! Esthtiology Graduate, Gabriella
