July 20, 2020 Update
Campus has reopened at The Institute of Beauty and Wellness for practical, clinical lab applications. The Institute of Beauty and Wellness will utilize a hybrid learning education model to continue class online, while completing hands-on practical clinical hours on campus. Learn more about our hybrid learning policy in our course catalog.
Students will receive further communication from their instructors with further direction on coming to campus.
The Institute of Beauty and Wellness will open for limited guest services beginning July 29, 2020.
We care about the health and wellbeing of our students, guests and team. In order to maintain social distancing, we have adjusted the space and schedules to allow for social distancing and additional disinfection above and beyond our normal procedures. April 24, 2020 Update
At this time, The Institute of Beauty and Wellness will continue to do online classes as we wait for approval from the City of Milwaukee to reopen our campus for a hybrid distance learning program. Updates on Milwaukee’s reopening plan can be found on the City’s Health Department’s website: https://city.milwaukee.gov/coronavirus
Due to this directive, we will be extending distance learning (online classes) until further notice.
March 25, 2020 Update
As of Wednesday, March 25 Governor Tony Evers has launched the Safer at Home initiative to help slow down the infection rate of COVID-19 in the state of Wisconsin. Due to this directive, we will be extending distance learning (online classes) until April 24, 2020
March 18, 2020 Update
As we continue to monitor local, state and federal responses to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), The Institute of Beauty and Wellness is suspending classes from March 18-31, 2020.

STATEMENT
The Institute of Beauty and Wellness values the health, safety, and wellness of our students and community. We continue to monitor COVID-19 and guidelines from local, state and national public health officials and will take proactive measures as necessary.
While there are currently no confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 on our campus we are doing our part in preventing and mitigating the risks posed by COVID-19. The health of our community relies on participation and vigilance by all institutions and individuals, and we encourage everyone to take personal safety precautions.
Starting March 14, 2020 student clinic lab services are discontinued until further notice.
Classes have moved to distance learning until further notice.
Events scheduled will be cancelled or postponed until further notice. This includes graduation, career events and guest educations.
While we are taking extra precautionary measures at this time, it is important to note that our institute and industry at-large always prioritize sanitation and safety. All of our programs learn and practice proper cleaning and disinfecting of tools and stations as mandated and regulated by the State of Wisconsin’s Department of Safety and Professional Services.
The Institute of Beauty and Wellness is taking additional measures, such as disinfecting highly touched surfaces above and beyond our daily cleaning routines and sharing public health resources with our team and students to ensure prevention COVID-19 on our campus.
GUESTS
In a proactive measure to keep both our students and guests safe, our clinic lab is closed as of March 14, 2020 until further notice and all service appointments scheduled on or after March 14, 2020 have been canceled. We have updated our hold harmless to include a public safety and sanitation agreement that will remain in effect until further notice.
We will post updates when our clinic lab reopens. We appreciate your cooperation and consideration in helping to keep our campus and community safe and look forward to serving you in the future.
STUDENTS
Clinic lab services are discontinued starting March 14 until further notice. Classes have moved online until further notice. Events will be cancelled or postponed from until further notice. Please contact the school administration if you have concerns about attending class. Further communication will be sent via email regarding programming and health procedures.
