During times of high stress, people may struggle to balance their mind and body and find their place in the universe. Your energy affects everything around you, and your mindset can definitely affect your environment and the people within it. If you are feeling closed off from the world, your seventh chakra, or crown chakra, may be off-balance. A balanced crown chakra gives wisdom and self-awareness, allowing one to feel connected to others as part of the universe. The seven chakras (root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown) all play an important role in the balance of your mind, body and spirit. Learning about the chakras can help you check in with yourself to become more in-tune with your needs. After the first six chakras have been balanced, you can meditate on the seventh chakra for full alignment.
The seventh chakra is called the crown chakra which gives off consciousness energy. This energy connects our inner mind to the universe. It is located at the top of the head, right above the third eye chakra. The crown chakra is associated with wisdom and a sense of understanding about the universe. By seeing yourself as part of the universe, you can let go of the stress of the material world and focus on things that matter.

Most people use meditation as a way to balance their crown chakra. While meditation can be used to balance other chakras, it is fundamental in balancing the seventh. Meditation is a powerful way to connect with your spirit and relax your mind.
Finding a quiet and calm place to meditate and relax your mind is the key to balancing the seventh chakra. One way to meditate on your crown chakra is by repeating mantras that connect you to the rest of the world: “I am one with the universe.” You can repeat this mantra (mentally or verbally), or a similar mantra, while slowly breathing in and out. Meditating on balancing the seventh chakra will bring inner peace to the mind and spirit.
It is important to keep in mind that your other chakras, especially your root chakra, should be in balance before you target your focus on the seventh. A strong foundation will allow for overall health. Mediation can be a source of inner guidance and healing in all areas of life. Use meditation to check in with yourself to try to identify any other parts of your body, mind or spirit that may be out of balance, then focus on your needs to fix them.
Balancing the crown chakra will help you release and let go of suffering in the material world. By reminding you are one with the universe, you can take peace in knowing that you are not alone. Once you let go of things that no longer serve you, and once you develop trust in the universe and that it will work things out for you, you will feel so much better.
